Hello!

It's nice to have you here. Whoever you may be, you've likely accessed this page, because psychoanalysis has some meaning to you. It may denote something you like, love, strive to understand, a modality of your personal psychotherapy, professional orientation, petty (or not so petty) hate etc. This is, for starters, something that we share, because psychotherapy has some meaning to me, too.

Here, I intend to describe, reflect on and provide updates of my training journey as an adult psychoanalytic psychotherapist. What you'll likely find here will be snapshots of my personal psychotherapy (3 times a week), stories of the training, papers and books I've read as well as ideas I've encountered and found relevant for whatever reason.

Background story: I am 44, female, living in England as a Polish expat since 2013 with my family (a husband of 25 years, and 2 adult children). I started off as a teacher, morphed into a clinical research translator, branched out to medical writing and editing, to find an alternative address in psychology since 2016. Having completing my MSc and PgCert in Low Intensity CBT and 5 extra years in the NHS, I began to pursue a PhD in Psychology alongside my psychotherapy training. As a 'day job' (or a source of money to fund my psychoanalytic whims), I run a small SEND consultancy business.
